At Least Six of Biden’s Pardons Were Signed in D.C. While He Was on Vacation

Drew Berquist discussed the Oversight Project’s findings that most of President Biden’s signatures, including pardons, were made using an autopen, except for his resignation letter. Six pardons were signed while Biden was vacationing in the US Virgin Islands. Tom Cunningham calculated that signing “Joe Biden” manually would take 6-7 hours, impractical for someone with dementia. Both agreed that the autopen use indicates Biden’s physical inability to sign manually. They expressed concern about the transparency and implications of having others sign presidential documents in Biden’s absence, predicting the issue would be forgotten but potentially resurface as a conspiracy theory.
