Donald Trump Jr. reacted to a left-wing website’s big scoop that he plans to follow up his father President Donald J. Trump with his own run for the White House in 2028, yet another wild hoax.
The story, which drew attention after it was published by Mediaite on Thursday, cited the usual anonymous sources in what looked to be a ham-handed attempt to stir up trouble between the president and Vice President JD Vance, opening with a quote from Trump during a Fox News interview where he said it was too early to make a 2028 endorsement of his veep, remarks that were grossly distorted by the mainstream media.
According to the website which features media and politics with an obvious pro-Democrat spin, “several in Trump’s inner circle” told the outlet that Trump’s eldest son is very serious about a presidential run and that the president has a “desire to keep his dynasty alive” after his second term runs out. Trump is constitutionally term-limited from being president again.
“Three high-level sources” who are all unnamed allegedly told Mediaite that Don Jr. is a near slam dunk to follow in his dad’s footsteps.
The retard who wrote this story, @dianafalzone, buried Don’s on the record denial below a bunch of anonymous quotes from the people that duped her into writing this ridiculous story. https://t.co/dyCWLEwB0E

“Don has been the most politically involved of all the Trump kids and has always kept the lanes open for a presidential run,” one White House insider and close friend of the Trump family said. “He is a valued voice for his father, and a real possibility to be a contender in 2028.”
But in the typically dishonest and sloppy type of “journalism” that has destroyed public faith in the profession, Mediaite published the story knowing that it was a hoax with the younger Trump’s unequivocal denial being buried in the story which featured the grossly misleading click bait headline “Exclusive: Donald Trump Jr. Considering a Run For President in 2028.”
“I accurately predicted that my buddy JD would be an instant power player in national GOP politics, so your theory is that I worked my ass off to help get him the VP nomination because I want to run for president in 2028? Are you f**king retarded?” Don Jr. said in a statement to Mediaite, a scorching rebuttal of its fake news fairy tale.
“I’m actually glad you’re printing this bullsh*t though because at least now the rest of the press corps will see how sh*tty your ‘sources’ are and how easily you’re played by them. Congrats, moron,” he added.
Don Jr. also slammed the outlet in a post to X.
LOL A lot of fake stories have been written about me over the years, but this might be the most obviously fake one yet. Congrats to @dianafalzone & @Mediaite for embarrassing themselves. You guys got played and now all your friends in the press are mocking you behind your back. pic.twitter.com/nHaTqLo8Ap

Mediaite bills itself as “News and opinion at the intersection of media and politics” and was founded by media entrepreneur and personality Dan Abrams in 2009. It fancies itself as a player on the big media stage, and when it comes to fake news, it’s right up there with the pros.
