Angry Sex Offender Turns Job Snub Into Full-Blown Urine Assault

A Florida man is facing multiple felony charges after he allegedly threw bottles of urine inside a business following a dispute over a job interview, as reported by The New York Post.

According to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office affidavit, 51-year-old John Connaughton entered Doors, Moulding & More in St. Petersburg and caused extensive damage by flinging urine inside the store, targeting merchandise, display areas, and flooring throughout the business.

The incident reportedly occurred after the business declined to grant him a job interview.

Connaughton, a registered sex offender with a criminal history that includes lewd and lascivious exhibition, allegedly threw multiple bottles of his own urine through the store’s front entrance and poured the contents throughout the business, including on merchandise.

One employee was reportedly struck by the urine on their bare legs. After the encounter, the employee chased Connaughton on foot.

During the pursuit, Connaughton allegedly raised a skateboard in a threatening manner, as if he were going to swing it at the employee, according to the affidavit.

The estimated damage to the business is said to exceed $1,000. Connaughton was later taken into custody and has been charged with felony battery, criminal mischief, and aggravated assault.

The unusual incident adds to a string of bizarre urine-related crimes reported in recent months. In Oregon, a separate case involved an unknown individual who repeatedly left large gallon jugs of urine throughout a residential neighborhood.

Connaughton remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
