Alleged transgender Tesla vandal, 42, lives with mom and calls himself ‘baby’

Details about one of the alleged Tesla vandals spoke to the “emotional problems” of the dress-wearing man who referred to himself as “baby.”

Aligning with the hyperbolic rhetoric from leftist leaders, activists appeared to heed their marching orders against Elon Musk by targeting Tesla dealerships across the country. Among those who had been arrested was one Lucy Grace Nelson, 42, of  Lyons, Colorado, a man who considers himself a woman living in his mother’s home.

The man’s father, Claiborne Nelson, spoke with the New York Post and detailed how his son, “changed his name to Lucy a few years ago.”

“He’s in his early 40s but has been living with his mother who has been taking care of him,” explained the elder Nelson. “He has emotional problems. He hasn’t been able to keep a job.”

According to a Feb. 27 release from the Department of Justice, officers from the Loveland Police Department had confronted the man born Justin Thomas Nelson at the Loveland Tesla dealership where they reported finding “a container of gasoline plus a box of bottles and wick material,” that had been recovered after a number of prior incidents there dating back to Jan. 29.

Nelson was released on $100,000 cash bond after his Feb. 24 release having allegedly thrown Molotov cocktails at the Teslas in addition to vandalism said to include spray-painting cars and the business with graffiti considered “offensive and hateful in nature” like a message reading, “Nazi cars,” and another that said, “f*ck Musk.”

In light of the allegations against his son, the father noted to the Post that the family favors the Democratic Party and so “we have good reason not to like our president. [Nelson’s] not for the president or Elon Musk, but anything beyond that I don’t know.”

“He has no history of being radical in any way,” the man claimed further while Loveland Police Department spokesperson Chris Padgett told KDVR, “I know that there’s been some rumors that it was just fireworks and bottle rockets and that is not the case. That is not true. The devices that were discovered had potential for serious damage.”

Meanwhile, the newspaper detailed a number of Nelson’s social media posts that included images with the captions, “baby got her first bra…behold the power of socks,” and, “baby got her first dress.”

According to the Post’s report, a deactivated Reddit account had stated in Oct. 2023, “all bigots should be killed,” adding, “morally speaking, that is…don’t actually because going to prison sucks.”

As with previous acts of violence where the ends justified the means, Democratic figures had remained mum on the targeting of Tesla dealerships. The same could not be said of President Donald Trump’s administration as the commander-in-chief was reportedly considering labeling the attacks as “domestic terrorism.”

For her part, Attorney General Pam Bondi had said, “So if you’re going to touch a Tesla, go to a dealership, do anything, you better watch out, because we’re coming after you. And if you’re funding this, we’re coming after you. We’re going to find out who you are.”

The nation’s top cop had stated that one person who’d thrown a Molotov cocktail through a dealership was looking at 20 years behind bars. As for where the money was coming from, Musk had already pointed to five groups funded through the Democratic Party’s fundraising organization ActBlue.
