Los Angeles has announced that they have accepted a White House invite from President Donald Trump and will be headed to Washington D.C. to celebrate their World Series championship. (RELATED: Ohio State Accepts Invite To Visit White House, Will Be In Attendance In April)
The Dodgers will be taking the visit Apr. 7 prior to the beginning of a three-game series where they will square off against the Washington Nationals. Dodgers’ members will also be visiting Capitol Hill a day later, per an announcement from the franchise.
“It wasn’t a formal conversation that we had as a ballclub,” stated Dodgers manager Dave Roberts prior to the Tuesday spring training game taking on the Los Angeles Angels. “It’s certainly a huge honor to get the invitation to the White House. It allows us to celebrate our 2024 championship. To my understanding, every World Series champion gets that honor, so it’s a great honor for all of us.”
In keeping with long-standing baseball tradition, President Trump has invited the 2024 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers to the White House when they play in Washington D.C. on April 7. The Dodgers look forward to visiting the White House and celebrating our title.

I just realized that I’m writing this blog while watching “Boyz n the Hood.” Usually, I talk about the culture shift that we’re seeing with Trump, but all this story (and the movie) makes me think about is how crazy the city of Los Angeles is.
