‘No response from any Democrats’

Democrats are fully committed to rescuing alleged MS-13 member Kilmar Abrego Garcia from prison in his home country of El Salvador, but continue to show little interest in standing with American citizens who have been victimized by illegal immigrants.

The White House pushed back on Wednesday by featuring Patty Morin during a press briefing — Morin’s daughter Rachel was raped and murdered by an illegal immigrant from El Salvador — who pleaded with the media to be honest in their reporting about the incident. After Morin spoke, press secretary Karoline Leavitt asked reporters if they had any questions for the grieving mother, and not a single hand went up.

Morin, who is from Maryland, appeared on “Fox & Friends” and was asked if she has heard from her own senator, Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), who traveled to El Salvador this week on behalf of Garcia, even as reports surfaced that the illegal immigrant was violent with his wife and was suspected of being involved in human trafficking.

“I’ve heard no response from any Democrats,” Morin said. “I’ve received some threatening phone calls, but I received no response from anybody. They’re ignoring it. It’s kind of like a little toddler; if I don’t look at you, you can’t see me. Or if I don’t look at that, I didn’t do that kind of thing. They are ignoring it.”

Morin was joined on Fox News by Tammy Nobles, whose daughter, 20-year-old Kayla Hamilton, was raped and killed in Maryland by an MS-13 gang member in this country illegally from El Salvador.

“They never reached out to me even after Kayla was murdered and we found it was a 16-year-old known MS-13 gang member,” Nobles said.

“The Democratic Party has never looked at her pictures when I testified in Congress. They never looked at her photos or said her name,” she continued. “And they always say the same thing, ‘Oh, the Republicans are using you as a political stunt, or I’m sorry, for your condolences.’ That’s all they had to offer. They did not offer any solutions on the ongoing problem.”

Van Hollen has declared that he “won’t stop fighting” until Garcia is brought “home,” so he may be a little busy.

Leavitt disavowed the media narrative Van Hollen regurgitated, saying from the White House, “There is no Maryland father. Kilmar Abrego Garcia is an illegal alien, MS-13 gang member, and foreign terrorist who was deported back to his home country.”

“We should be protecting life, we should be protecting American citizens, that’s why you’re elected, that’s why we pay taxes,” Morin told Fox News host Lawrence Jones. “They are so out of touch with the American people, it boggles my mind.”
