President Trump taps Fox News host Mark Levin to Homeland Security Advisory Council

President Donald J. Trump announced a “revamped” Homeland Security Advisory Council on Thursday and named a Fox News host among the new members.

Taking to Truth Social, the president named Mark Levin, host of Fox News’ “Life, Liberty & Levin,” along with retired NYPD police detective Bo Dietl, the governor of South Carolina (R), and Florida state Sen. Joe Gruters (R).

“It is a big honor to serve on HSAC, and I know the new Members, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, Mark Levin, Bo Dietl, and Joseph Gruters, will do an incredible job,” Trump wrote.

“Under Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem’s leadership,” he continued, “HSAC will work hard on developing new Policies and Strategies that will help us secure our Border, deport Illegal Criminal Thugs, stop the flow of Fentanyl and other illegal drugs that are killing our Citizens, and MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN. Congratulations to all!”

As seen above, Levin responded, “What an honor! Thank you, Mr. President!”

Dietl, who appeared in the Martin Scorsese hit movies “Goodfellas,” “The Irishman,” and “The Wolf of Wall Street,” also responded.

“I am incredibly honored to share that President Trump has appointed me to serve on the newly revamped Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC)!” Dietl posted.

“Our focus will be on securing our borders, removing violent criminal offenders, stopping the deadly flow of fentanyl and other illegal drugs, and helping to MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN,” he added. “With decades of experience in law enforcement and security, I am ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work for the American people. Thank you, President Trump, for this incredible opportunity. Let’s get it done!”
