Dem House member admits lawmakers are colluding with attorney generals on anti-Trump lawfare

Any lingering doubts about the coordinated lawfare against President Donald Trump were summarily squashed by one Democratic politician.

“This actually isn’t a secret…”

Over a little more than 90 days, the Trump administration has been met with nearly 200 legal challenges, according to Just Security’s count. However, looking into dark money connections to sort out the coordination was wholly unnecessary, as California Rep. Laura Friedman (D) flat out admitted weekly meetings with blue state attorneys general.

“What is the plan to resist?” came the question from an attendee at Friedman’s town hall Monday at Los Angeles City College.

Taking that to be referring to obstructing the mandate voters had sent Trump to the White House to fulfill, Friedman expressed in part that, “Every single week, we have a litigation working group where a large group of us — and I’m talking there’s maybe 75 members of the House — sit down every single week with the AGs to talk about legal strategy.”

While the administration’s Rapid Response account highlighted the clip as the congresswoman stating the “QUIET PART OUT LOUD,” she shamelessly doubled down as she reacted, “This actually isn’t a secret… I’m part of the Democrats Litigation/Response Task Force aimed at stopping Trump’s illegal & unconstitutional actions. We won’t stop making sure this administration acts within the law.”

Friedman, who was elected to succeed now-California Sen. Adam Schiff (D) in the district, went on to state during the town hall amid uproar from mask-wearing, alphabet activist flag-waving attendees who argued Democrats weren’t pushing back hard enough, “This is all going on every single week behind the scenes. It is nonstop. Nonstop talk, nonstop introduction of bills and legislation, nonstop being on social media as much as we can without being throttled and without the crazy analytics, and doing all these things.”

In one example of the coordinated effort from the left, the Democratic National Committee, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) had joined with other Democratic groups in filing suit against Trump executive order on election integrity.

Likewise, attorneys general from 19 states had done the same, arguing the order seeking to require proof of citizenship to vote, “violates the Constitution. It interferes with States’ inherent sovereignty and their constitutional power to regulate the time, place, and manner of federal elections.”

Among those top cops was New York Attorney General Letitia James (D), who, having campaigned on a promise to sue Trump, found herself in hot water as she was referred to the Justice Department for allegedly falsifying records to score a better mortgage rate on a home in Virginia in 2023.

Much like Friedman’s open admission to the coordinated effort, there was little surprise about the behavior from leftists that sound “a bit insurrection-y.”
