The New York woman who assaulted a reporter over a pro-life stance has been arrested, and to the surprise of no one, the suspect has assumed the role of victim.
Brianna Rivers, who brazenly sucker punched Savannah Craven Antao last week during a street interview in Harlem, was arrested Thursday on one count of second-degree assault, according to the New York Post.

“Just got word from detectives Brianna J Rivers was arrested! God is good!,” Antao said in an Instagram post that included the hashtags, #BlueLivesMatter #JusticeIsServed #ThankYouGod.
She was left bloodied by the attack and had to go to the hospital, receiving several stitches below her eyebrow.
After the assault, Rivers took to social media to claim she was provoked during the encounter with the reporter from the pro-life advocacy group Live Action, further complaining about a “one sided narrative.”
“To Savannah, I sincerely apologize, but cannot sit around and allow you to continue pushing this one sided narrative. I understand hands being put on someone is never the answer, but throwing rocks and hiding hands is worse,” Rivers wrote on Facebook.
“She knows the truth and she needs to release the footage in its entirety. Savannah is a professional antagonist not a ‘reporter’ and the truth will be told,” she concluded.
Rivers was complaining about the “magnitude of having a child” during the interview, prompting Antao to respond, “I’m not the one who admitted they would be OK with killing babies in foster care and killing children that have been abused.”
“That’s not the point. What I’m saying is….,” Rivers began, before launching a surprise blow to the reporter’s face.

Rivers took to GoFundMe for a short-lived campaign to raise money for her defense, receiving thousands of dollars in donations before the page was shut down.
