Tom Cruise delivers a breathtaking performance in the official trailer for “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.”
Paramount Pictures dropped the trailer Monday, showcasing jaw-dropping stunts that continue to raise the bar for action cinema. The 62-year-old actor hung off an airplane mid-flight in a jaw-dropping scene that will leave fans at the edge of their seats. The clip teased the thrills with a sneak peek of Cruise jumping off an aircraft into the depths of the ocean. Emphasis was put on the fact that this very well could be the last installment in the long-running franchise.
Renowned for performing his own death-defying stunts, Tom Cruise once again surpasses expectations in “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.” The teaser showcases the actor tackling another intense challenge — an ambitious underwater submarine sequence — further cementing his reputation as one of Hollywood’s most fearless action stars.
The clip included a moment where Ethan Hunt straps on a mask and seemingly plugs into the Entity. A chaotic, speedy montage played, showing what Ethan could see while tapped into the AI program.

The famous actor described the intensity of his stunt work in a February interview with Empire.
“When you stick your face out [of an airplane], going over 120 to 130 miles an hour, you’re not getting oxygen,” Cruise told the outlet.
“So I had to train myself how to breathe. There were times I would pass out physically; I was unable to get back into the cockpit,” he said. (RELATED: Tom Cruise Clinches Top US Navy Honor For Something He Did In The Movies)
