Accused killer of teen football MVP, Austin Metcalf, delivers chilling words to police upon arrest: report

The Texas teen accused of killing A student and MVP athlete during a high school track meet isn’t denying anything.

As details surrounding the horrifying event continue to unfold, the chilling words the accused killer, Karmelo Anthony, 17, told police are making the rounds.

“I’m not alleged, I did it,” 17-year-old Anthony told police in Frisco, Texas, as he was taken into custody for the senseless murder of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf.

“I was protecting myself … He put his hands on me,” Anthony reportedly told police.

Metcalf was stabbed in the chest after a brief verbal altercation with Anthony over a seat and was asked to move. Metcalf soon would die in his twin brother’s arms while the boys’ father watched in horror.

The alleged killer’s father, Andrew Anthony, backed his son as a “good kid” and said that Metcalf “was the aggressor.”

According to a police document obtained by the New York Post, Anthony reached inside a bag and threatened Metcalf, “Touch me and see what happens,” a witness told police.

That’s when Metcalf allegedly “grabbed” Anthony, who subsequently pulled a knife and stabbed Metcalf in the chest.

Several eyewitnesses were at the scene, including Austin Metcalf’s twin brother, Hunter, who gave his recollection.

“We asked him to move and he started getting aggressive and talking reckless. And my brother stepped in and said, ‘You need to move.’ [Karmelo] was like, ‘Make me move,’ and also grabbed his backpack.”

Hunter said the entire altercation was under 30 seconds, and that he and his brother did not know Anthony.

“I whipped my head around, and then all of a sudden I see [Austin] running down the bleachers just grabbing his chest… I put my hand on there, tried to make it [the bleeding] stop, and I grabbed his head and I looked in his eyes,” Hunter said. “I just saw his soul leave, and it took my soul, too.”
