The moment wasn’t in the original script, but according to director Paul Feig, the spontaneous grab was a welcome addition. Feig told Lively during a conversation with co-star Anna Kendrick—later shared on TikTok and X:

Feig went on to chuckle as he recalled Lively grabbing Golding’s “nuts,” noting she really committed to the move. Lively responded:

“That’s always awkward when you’re, like, ‘Hey, hi, nice to meet you. Can I grab your nuts really hard?’”

Lively alleges Baldoni behaved inappropriately during filming of It Ends With Us, citing an incident during a slow-dance scene as a key example.

Baldoni has denied all accusations and fired back with a defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

Baldoni’s team also released raw footage of the slow-dancing scene, showing him kissing Lively’s forehead and neck, rubbing his face near hers, and complimenting her scent—behavior Lively claims was unsolicited and unprofessional.

Her team doubled down, saying the video supports her allegations, not refutes them.

But the internet isn’t buying it. Users on social media lit up over the contrast between Lively’s legal complaints and her own proud admission of grabbing Golding on-set.

Lively’s spokesperson defended the scene with Golding, claiming she had “collaborated and reached an agreement with the director and her co-star before filming.”
