Elon Musk giving out $2M ahead of Wisconsin state Supreme Court election

Wisconsin’s upcoming Supreme Court contest is so important that Elon Musk is handing out million-dollar awards to voters ahead of the election.

The billionaire Tesla CEO and head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) posted his intentions on social media as he explained he would be giving a talk to voters this weekend.

“On Sunday night, I will give a talk in Wisconsin. Entrance is limited to those who have voted in the Supreme Court election,” Musk wrote on X.

“I will also personally hand over two checks for a million dollars each in appreciation for you taking the time to vote,” he added. “This is super important.”

America PAC, the political action committee founded and funded by Musk, announced that Scott Ainsworth from Green Bay won the first $1 million after he signed a petition opposing “activist judges.”

“The payment is similar to a lottery that Musk’s political action committee ran last year in Wisconsin and other battleground states before the election in November,” Fox News noted. “America PAC announced last week that it was offering $100 to voters who signed its petition. Musk did not say that there would be $1 million prizes at that time, nor was it clear who determined the winner of the $1 million or how it was done.”

Dane County Circuit Court Judge Susan Crawford blasted the move in an interview on CNN this week.

“We need to do everything we can to reach voters and help them understand that we don’t want someone like Elon Musk coming from outside to buy a state judicial election in Wisconsin,” the Democrat-backed candidate said. “The Wisconsin Supreme Court needs to focus on protecting the people of Wisconsin.”

Crawford, who was recently endorsed by former President Barack Obama, is vying against GOP-backed Judge Brad Schimel for the Wisconsin Supreme Court seat held by a retiring liberal justice. On Thursday, Schimel hosted a telephone town hall with President Donald Trump, who called the race “the most important election happening in the state this year.”

“If the radical Democrats win, they’re planning to abuse the law to unilaterally rewrite Wisconsin’s electoral map, creating a tremendous problem for our country,” Trump said. “That’s why I’m on the phone. I have a lot of respect for Brad. I’m also here to save our country from these people who are destroying it with their open borders and all of the transgender issues, men in women’s sports, and everything they stand for.”
