What a scene!
Wyatt Hendrickson, a wrestler for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, gave a salute to President Donald Trump following a shocking upset Saturday night that saw him win a national championship.
A former wrestler for Air Force and currently a second lieutenant, Hendrickson had the pure American moment with the president after defeating Gable Stevenson (Minnesota) by a 5-3 tally to win the Heavyweight championship. Trump was sitting mat-side.
“USA! USA!,” chanted the Wells Fargo Center crowd in Philadelphia while Hendrickson was saluting. (RELATED: U.S. Men’s Soccer Coach Mauricio Pochettino Says America Can Win 2026 World Cup With Help Of President Trump)
Having an American flag draped over him, Hendrickson walked over to the president to shake his hand and show him some love.
“He said he was very proud of me,” said Hendrickson in an interview with ESPN following his match. “He came here to support his troops, I put on a show for him, I wanted that national title.”
Trump was also joined by DOGE chief Elon Musk and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).

Man, this is such a cool story. Just imagine being that college kid.
Not only did you pull off a stunning upset over a behemoth, but you did it to win a national championship. And then, able to wear your military hat in the process, you get to salute Trump and even give him a hug.
Some extraordinarily magical stuff here, ladies and gentlemen.
