Kennedy Center terminates employee over ‘extremely disturbing’ Trump protest video

A Kennedy Center employee was fired after making a Trump protest video that was mainly about himself – while naked, of course.

Travis Forsyth wasted 35 minutes in a video titled “Trump Declares War on Artists / Do I Quit the Kennedy Center?”

Lucky for him, the Kennedy Center made that decision very easy, and reportedly canned Forsyth who lamented his dilemma while nude with only a rainbow heart emoji covering his nether regions.

Forsyth took issue with Trump-appointed board members for the Kennedy Center with Trump being chairman of the board. Second Lady Usha Vance and Fox News host Laura Ingraham are also among those that triggered Forsyth.

“In this episode, I’m gonna talk about whether or not I should quit. I’m gonna ask, does staying make me a collaborator or somehow complicit in a hostile government takeover that’s systematically targeting the livelihood and liberty of poor people, queer people, black/brown people, people of color, immigrants, Muslims, victims in war-torn countries, ethnic cleansing, women?” Forsyth asked.

“And gosh, when I put it that way it seems obvious. F*ck Donald Trump and the Kennedy Center! But on the other hand, is staying holding the line and living to fight another day? Do I take up space and defend the vision for this institution that is diverse and inclusive unlike Trump’s vision for America?”

One day after his “protest”, Forsyth was reportedly fired and Kennedy Center VP of Public Relations Roma Daravi made a public statement to the LA Times.

“The video is extremely disturbing considering this individual worked with minors,” Daravi said.

Forsyth clapped back with a statement of his own: “Any implication that I am corrupting the youth is laughably false, intentionally misleading, and is underscored by decades of hate targeted at LGBTQ+ educators.”

Anyone who might think Forsyth was treated too harshly, or that his “protest” was steeped in empathy and not narcissism, should know that he also reportedly posted an uncensored version of the video with his genitals on full display, but it appears to have been since taken down.

Richard Grenell who is serving as the Interim President of the Kennedy Center addressed the issue on X. “This behavior will not be knowingly funded by the Kennedy Center. Today they/him were fired,” Grenell announced on Thursday.
