Secret Service Protection Withdrawn for Hunter and Ashley Biden by Trump [WATCH]​

President Donald Trump revoked Secret Service protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden on Monday following reports that Hunter Biden had been spotted vacationing in South Africa while he was expected to attend a court deposition.

The decision marks an immediate end to taxpayer-funded security details for both of Joe Biden’s adult children.

“Hunter Biden has had Secret Service protection for an extended period of time, all paid for by the United States Taxpayer,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “There are as many as 18 people on this Detail, which is ridiculous!”

Trump further pointed out Hunter Biden’s location, calling attention to South Africa’s human rights issues.

“He is currently vacationing in, of all places, South Africa, where the Human Rights of people has been strenuously questioned,” Trump said.

He added that due to these concerns, South Africa has been removed from the list of countries receiving U.S. economic and financial assistance.

“Please be advised that, effective immediately, Hunter Biden will no longer receive Secret Service protection,” Trump declared.

Ashley Biden, 43, was also named in Trump’s directive.

“Likewise, Ashley Biden who has 13 agents will be taken off the list,” Trump announced.

The Secret Service confirmed that it is working to implement Trump’s order.

“We are aware of the President’s decision to terminate protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden,” Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi stated.

“The Secret Service will comply and is actively working with the protective details and the White House to ensure compliance as soon as possible.”

Sources told The New York Post that agents assigned to Hunter and Ashley Biden must remain on duty until all necessary paperwork is processed.

The process of withdrawing protection was set to begin on Tuesday.

Trump’s announcement followed comments he made earlier in the day while speaking at the Kennedy Center, where he indicated he would review the matter.

“I would say if there are 18 [Secret Service agents] with Hunter Biden, that will be something I look at this afternoon,” Trump said when asked about the security detail.

The decision to revoke Secret Service protection comes after Hunter Biden was seen in Cape Town, South Africa, staying at a $500-a-night villa described as an “ultra-luxurious designer home with spectacular 180 degrees unobstructed views of the sea.”

While Hunter was overseas, a federal judge granted his request to drop a lawsuit against former White House aide Garrett Ziegler.

Ziegler’s nonprofit, Marco Polo, had published contents from Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop online.

Despite previously claiming financial hardship, Hunter was photographed shopping in Cape Town alongside his South Africa-born wife, Melissa Cohen, while staying at the upscale resort with a security detail.

Ziegler told The Post on Monday that Hunter had “fled the country” and that taxpayers were covering the costs.

“Trump should strip his Secret Service protection, which he is not entitled to, and make Joe Biden, who is collecting three handsome federal pensions, foot the bill,” Ziegler said.

Ziegler also suggested that Trump should remove federal prosecutor Derek Hines, who worked on Hunter Biden’s criminal cases involving tax fraud and gun charges.

Hines, who served under former special counsel David Weiss in Delaware, was recently promoted to first assistant U.S. attorney in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Secret Service protection is not automatically extended to adult children of presidents.

However, Hunter Biden was granted a security detail by directive of his father, President Joe Biden, according to Trump administration sources.

Trump also criticized Hunter’s presence in South Africa, citing his administration’s decision to cut financial aid to the country.

“South Africa, you know, is on a watch list. You know that, yes, because what they’re doing to people is brutal, and I’ve stopped having money go to South Africa. You know that’s billions of dollars,” Trump said.

“So he’s in South Africa. That’s really interesting. All right, I’m going to take a look at that.”

Guglielmi, the Secret Service spokesperson, previously confirmed to The Post that Hunter Biden had been receiving protection but declined to comment on the number of agents assigned to him.

Trump has revoked Secret Service protection from other figures in the past, including former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former national security adviser John Bolton.

“When you have protection, you can’t have it for the rest of your life,” Trump said in January.

“Do you want to have a large detail of people guarding people for the rest of their lives?” he asked. “I mean, there’s risks to everything.”

With Trump’s directive in effect, the Secret Service is now in the process of ending Hunter and Ashley Biden’s taxpayer-funded security details.
