Bartender Threatens Patron with Baseball Bat for Wearing a MAGA Hat [WATCH]

An Indianapolis woman was removed from Chatterbox Jazz, a local bar, after staff refused to serve her due to her support for President Donald Trump.

The incident, which took place on Friday night, was captured on video and posted by the woman, Elise Hensley, on her Facebook page.

According to the footage, a bartender at Chatterbox Jazz confronted Hensley, demanding she leave the bar because of her political beliefs.

The situation escalated when the bartender grabbed a baseball bat, holding it while instructing Hensley to exit.

The video, which begins after Hensley was initially ordered to leave, shows her questioning the bartender about why she is being removed.

“I have a question,” Hensley says.

“No! No! We’re not answering questions! Get out of the bar!” the bartender responds.

Hensley continues to ask for clarification before the bartender finally states the reason for her removal.

“Because you’re a Trump supporter.”

Hensley then questions whether the bar is turning away paying customers.

“I know,” she says, “but don’t you guys want our money?”

The bartender firmly rejects the idea.

“No! Actually, we don’t. Geh—get out of my bar right now.”

When Hensley does not immediately leave, the bartender reaches for a baseball bat, while another patron in the bar can be heard shouting, “You’re not welcome.”

The video continues as the bartender, still holding the bat, tells Hensley to leave.

“I’m not f**king around. Get out of my bar,” the bartender says.

Hensley appears shocked and asks for confirmation.

“Are you serious?”

“I’m dead serious. Out,” the bartender replies.

She then asks, “Because I’m wearing a Trump hat?”

“Yes!” the bartender immediately responds.

“That’s wild!” Hensley exclaims.

“I don’t care. Get out,” the bartender insists.

Another employee steps in and tells Hensley, “We can call the police, or you can just leave.”

As the confrontation continues, Hensley points out that she is being discriminated against based on her political views.

“You know this is discrimination, right?” she asks.

Instead of addressing her claim, the bar patrons erupt in laughter, while the bartender mocks her concerns.

“Discrimination? Boo hoo. Boo f**king hoo. Get out of my bar,” the bartender says.

The incident at Chatterbox Jazz has drawn comparisons to other cases where businesses have refused service based on ideological beliefs.

Notably, in 2018, the Colorado Civil Rights Commission ruled against Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips, after he declined to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple.

While the U.S. Supreme Court later sided with Phillips, the case ignited a national debate about the right of businesses to refuse service based on deeply held beliefs.

In contrast, the staff at Chatterbox Jazz were openly applauded by patrons for refusing service based on a customer’s political affiliation.

While there is no legal violation in how Hensley was treated, the incident raises questions about political discrimination in businesses.

Similar actions in other industries have resulted in public backlash, boycotts, and lost business.

As word of the confrontation spreads, it remains to be seen whether Chatterbox Jazz will face any consequences from the local community or customers who disagree with the actions taken against Hensley.
