Video Shows Alleged Thieves Use Pythons To Steal Cannabis Oil From Tennessee Gas Station

Security camera footage captured the moment a group of alleged thieves used pythons to steal $400 worth of cannabis oil from a Tennessee gas station.

Employees inside the truck stop on Highway 138 in Denmark, Tennessee say four people came into the gas station with two pythons, according to WREG.

Footage of the incident shared Friday by Sky News on X shows the alleged robbers at the counter of the store with one person holding a snake in his hands. The person places the snake on the counter before reaching off camera. The person then dangles another snake over the counter.

“They were just waving them around and putting them on the counter,” Mayur Raval, the cashier, told WREG. “One person brought in one snake first, and then after that, he brought in another snake. One is white, and one is brown or a mix.”

Raval told the outlet the men with the snakes managed to take CBD oil from the counter. He said he believes the alleged robbers wanted to take more but didn’t because there were other customers around.

“I think they planned to successfully come here and rob the store. The snake is a weapon, you know,” he said. (RELATED: Video Shows Doctor, Martial Arts-Trained Optician Fight Off Multiple Robbers In Chaotic Attack).

The two men with snakes were accompanied by two women and were driving a small sedan, according to WKRN. The suspects remain at large.

This isn’t the first time someone in Tennessee allegedly robbed a store with a snake. In April 2024, then 26-year-old Reginald Cook was arrested after he allegedly tried robbing a gas station with a 5-foot snake wrapped around his neck, WREG previously reported.

Cook reportedly walked into a Shell gas station and made a purchase before returning roughly 30 minutes later, allegedly demanding money from the register. After the cashier refused, Cook left the store but returned about 35 minutes later with the reptile around his neck and a backpack with a rock and railroad spike inside, demanding money again.

The cashier called police and retrieved his own firearm, the outlet reported. No one was injured and no money was taken. Cook faced two counts of attempted aggravated robbery.
