‘Bold and brave’ Dem senator dumps Tesla to protest Elon Musk

Senator Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., announced that he is selling his Tesla, posting a video to X that probably didn’t go how he was expecting.

With many lefties crawling out of the woodwork to express their displeasure with billionaire Elon Musk, it’s no surprise that their virtue signaling would eventually evolve into selling or destroying their environmentally friendly vehicles for internet points. Kelly can now count himself among those jumping on this trend, saying his vehicle reminds him of the “damage” President Donald Trump and Musk are “doing to our country.”

“Hey folks, it’s Mark Kelly. I’m here in Washington driving to work for the last time in my Tesla,” he said, gesturing to a vehicle behind him. “When I bought this thing, I didn’t think it was going to become a political issue. Every time I get in this car in the last 60 days or so, it reminds me of how much damage Elon Musk and Donald Trump is doing to our country.”

“Talking about slashing Social Security, cutting healthcare benefits for poor people, seniors. It’s one bad thing after another,” Kelly’s whining continued. “He’s firing veterans. I’m a veteran, so I’m having a really hard time driving around in this thing. I think it’s time for an upgrade today. So this is going to be my last trip in this car. There’s some things I really liked about it, some things I didn’t like about it, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is, you know, doing the right thing and I think it’s time I got rid of it.”

Then he swapped to personal insults.

“Elon Musk kind of turned out to be an a**hole and I don’t want to be driving a car built and designed by an a**hole. So, looking forward to my new ride,” the video ends.
