Maxine Waters Says Trump Is ‘Working Toward a Civil War’—Unhinged Rant Ensues [WATCH]

Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters once again made headlines with incendiary rhetoric, accusing President Donald Trump of inciting violence while calling on Democrats to take to the streets.

Speaking during a press conference with Congressional Black Caucus leaders this week, Waters claimed that Trump was deliberately working toward civil unrest.

“I believe [Trump] expects violence. I believe he expects confrontation. I believe he’s working toward a civil war!” Waters, 86, shouted during the event.

Waters has also recently turned her focus toward billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk.

Earlier this month, she took aim at him in a speech, saying, “Elon Musk’s 13 children sleep good at night. What happens to the other children in America?”

The remarks were made as Waters protested outside the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) headquarters.

She was rallying against budget cuts initiated by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which aims to reduce wasteful federal spending.

During the protest, Waters attempted to force her way into the HUD building but was stopped by security.

Waters escalated her rhetoric on Wednesday, using social media to call on Democrats to mobilize against Trump and Musk.

“We can fight back against Trump and co-president Elon Musk. We can influence the courts,” Waters posted on X.

“How do we do that? We hit the streets and fight back. If we fight, we can win.”

Waters has a well-documented history of making inflammatory remarks, particularly toward Trump and his allies. In 2017, she told a crowd, “I will go and take Trump out tonight.”

The following year, she publicly encouraged her supporters to harass Trump administration officials.

“If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd,” Waters said during a 2018 rally in Los Angeles.

“You push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

Her latest statements come as Democrats continue to pursue legal battles against Trump while attempting to rally public support.

Waters’ calls for protests and her ongoing verbal attacks on Trump and Musk reflect her longstanding combative approach to politics.
