President Donald Trump’s biggest hater has finally done what many celebrities have threatened to do since his first administration.
Rosie O’Donnell confirmed in a recent nine-minute-long video that she had fled the United States for Ireland just days before the inauguration. While she’s quite “happy” with her new living arrangement, there are some things she’s missing about her previous home, like her “other kids” and her “friends.”

NEW: Rosie O’Donnell confirms she has fled the United States for Ireland following the election of Donald Trump.
The 62-year-old says she left and dragged her 12-year-old daughter with her because not all Americans have equal rights now.

“It’s Tuesday all day as my nana would say, and I’m here in Ireland, and it’s beautiful and warm – you know, physically it’s quite cold,” she started her video. “Moved here January 15, and it’s been pretty wonderful. The people are so loving and so kind and so welcoming, and I’m very grateful. I’m in the process of getting my Irish citizenship as I have Irish grandparents, and that’s what’s going on.”
“Although I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, that’s what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child, and here we are,” she continued.
Then she switched topics, claiming that TikTok is getting a little bit “dark and negative” for her taste, which has resulted in her switching to Substack.
“It’s hard to use. If the Substack people are listening, you really need a more user-friendly app. It’s very difficult to find where you even post. Or maybe it’s algebra, and I’m a geometry person,” she rambled. “Facebook was a mystery to me and remains a mystery to me. TikTok seemed like a cinch, and I got it from the get-go.”
Later in the video, she talked about the things she missed about the United States.
“You know, I’m happy. Clay is happy. I miss my other kids. I miss my friends. I miss many things about life there at home, and I’m trying to find a home here in this beautiful country,” she noted.
X users weren’t exactly sad to be rid of her:
She moved to Ireland and is still thinking and posting about Trump. Nice job Rosie!

As if Ireland didn’t have enough problems. Those poor souls.

They’re actually making good on their threats this time. I’m thrilled! If you hate this country, you absolutely should leave.

I actually respect this.
