Dem Rep Jeffries Takes Gaslighting to a New Level with Embarrassing Comments [WATCH]

Democratic leaders are facing mounting frustration within their party following a crushing defeat in November’s election, which handed full control of the government to President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

Despite their rhetoric, Democrats have yet to offer any substantial strategy to counter the GOP’s momentum.

With their base growing increasingly restless, Democratic politicians have doubled down on fear-driven narratives, continuing to push claims that the country is headed toward authoritarian rule under Trump.

However, their efforts have largely resulted in symbolic gestures rather than any real political strategy.

One of the most recent examples comes from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who attempted to rally his party with a video message declaring, “We have the Republicans on the run.”

His claim stands in stark contrast to reality, as Democrats lost significant ground in the election and now find themselves in the weakest position they’ve been in years.

Jeffries’ video, which aimed to assure his party’s base that they were making progress, failed to acknowledge the Democrats’ current predicament.

Instead, he focused on three key issues: the economy, healthcare, and taxes—though his statements on each lacked factual support.

First, Jeffries accused Trump and the Republican Party of “crashing the economy.”

However, with the administration only in office for a little over a month, there has been no economic collapse. Instead, Republicans are working to reverse the economic downturn caused by Joe Biden’s policies, which Jeffries conveniently ignored.

Second, Jeffries claimed that Republicans are planning “the largest cut to Medicaid in American history,” urging his supporters to “keep the pressure on them in communities across the country.”

However, there is no evidence to support this claim. Rather than offering solutions, Jeffries’ statements appeared to be an attempt to stoke fear among his base.

Lastly, Jeffries referred to the Republican tax plan as a “GOP tax scam,” repeating his Medicaid claim while also adding concerns about Social Security.

In reality, President Trump passed tax cuts that benefited the majority of Americans, while Democrats have opposed efforts to extend those cuts.

Jeffries’ leadership within his own party has also come into question.

In a sign of growing division, many Democrats openly defied his directive to refrain from creating a spectacle during President Trump’s recent address to Congress.

The internal discord further highlights the party’s struggles to present a unified front.

“We have them on the run, and we’re going to keep our foot on the gas pedal,” Jeffries said.

However, with the Democratic Party still in disarray and lacking a clear plan for moving forward, his claim appears to be more wishful thinking than reality.

As Republicans continue advancing their agenda, Democrats remain stuck in a cycle of outrage and symbolic resistance, offering little to voters beyond exaggerated attacks on the GOP.
