Trump blasts ‘sleazebag journalists’ pushing conspiracies over nothingburger hot mic moment

President Trump is setting the record straight after biased media “journalists” tried to make a mountain out of a molehill.

As BizPac Review reported, a hot mic moment between President Trump and Supreme Court Justice John Roberts went viral after the media ran with it, pushing conspiracy theories over what was said.

“Thank you again. Thank you again. I won’t forget,” Trump said as he passed by Roberts and the other justices before his history-making Joint Sessions speech on Tuesday.

Media outlets like MSNBC and HuffPost did their best to spread wild speculation and push nefarious motives behind Trump’s words. Both networks theorized that Trump was thanking Roberts for granting the president immunity, a SCOTUS ruling that helped derail the weaponized lawfare against Trump.

And so what if he was?

But, according to Trump his gratitude given to Roberts was far less exciting, and the president pushed back to put “sleazebag ‘journalists’” in their place.

“The Fake “Play the Ref” News, in order to create a divide between me and our great U.S. Supreme Court, heard me say last night, loudly and openly as I was walking past the Justices on the way to the podium, “thank you,” to Chief Justice John Roberts,” Trump’s Truth Social post began.

“Like most people, I don’t watch Fake News CNN or MSDNC, but I understand they are going “crazy” asking what is it that I was thanking Justice Roberts for? They never called my office to ask, of course, but if they had I would have told these sleazebag “journalists” that I thanked him for SWEARING ME IN ON INAUGURATION DAY, AND DOING A REALLY GOOD JOB IN SO DOING! The Fake News never quits!

As Trump’s response spread, X users blasted the media and SCOTUS for its recent decision to allow shady USAID money flow to foreign nations … a decision that isn’t exactly “Trump friendly.”
