Hockey in itself is absolutely incredible, but as a sports fan, I can’t help but to have a spot in my heart for high school hockey. And one of the states with the biggest high school hockey cultures is Minnesota, who treats the overall sport like a religion.
Currently, the boys high school hockey tournament in The Gopher State is going on, and though we have headlines flying out left and right that are connected to the event, there’s one player in particular who I want to focus on and who deserves the glory. Let me introduce you to Orono Raiders forward Brody Jenson. During introductions before a state tournament game, Brody chose an incredibly unique way to get himself hyped up — by slapping himself.

Living in Florida, you’d think I wouldn’t be a big hockey like I am, but with the way the Tampa Bay Lightning and my Florida Panthers have dominated over the past few years, it’s hard not to get into the sport at this point if you’re living in The Sunshine State.
I mean, hell, just look at what our governor did recently:
