Dashcam footage captured the moment a motorcyclist crashed on a freeway, launching him into a truck’s flatbed, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Authorities said the collision took place at approximately 4:10 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday on the Eastbound 210 Freeway in Irwindale to the east of Los Angeles, ABC7 reported.
The video, shared by the outlet, shows a truck traveling in the left lane as a motorcycle appears to speed up behind it. Without slowing down, the motorcyclist can be seen slamming into the truck and launching into the air. He then comes tumbling into the truck’s flatbed in the video. Debris appears to fly off the motorcycle as the truck continues on. Traffic keeps moving as the driver who captured the dashcam footage comes to a stop.
CHP told ABC7 they found the motorcycle in the carpool lane’s center median. Officers received a call soon after about the motorcyclist’s whereabouts.
The motorcycle driver was with a different vehicle that had already exited the California freeway at the Irwindale exit, according to the CHP.
The motorcyclist made it out with minor injuries and it remains unknown if he was taken to a hospital for medical evaluation, according to ABC7. (RELATED: Terrifying Video Shows Moment Driver Violently Slams Into Motorcyclist, Authorities Say)
